The Celtic Christian Church
HOLY TRINITY EUCHARIST
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.
Acolyte /Deacon The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. (Light candles)
Priest: Father, you invite us to your table and to intimacy with you. Before we approach, we ask that you to show us how we may open our hearts and remove all obstacles to your fellowship. How have we fallen short in answering the call to love? Give us the grace to be patient and kind, and forgive us when we are not. Give us the grace to avoid envy, boastfulness, and rejoicing in evil, and forgive us when we fall into any of these. Keep us generous and forgiving and forgive us when we fall short, In Jesus’ name and by the authority of his church, I absolve you of all your sins in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Gloria Let us rejoice in the Great Lover who forgives us even before we sin.
Please share things that you would like to glorify him for You sent us your word In the writings of the prophets, apostles, and evangelists.

Profession of Faith
ALL: We believe and trust: In one God,the Father Almighty, the Lord of the Worlds, maker of the earth and the cosmos, of all that is visible and invisible, known and unimaginable. We believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ, his only begotten son is one in being with the Father, that all things were made through him, that for the salvation of us all,he came down from heaven and that by the power of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, and became human flesh. We believe that Jesus was crucified for our sake, that under Pontus Pilate, he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day, we rose again as promised by the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at God’s right hand, ready to return in glory. He will come to judge the living and the dead, and god’s reign will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the giver of life and inspiration of the prophets. He proceeds from the Father and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. We believe in one universal apostolic church, in one baptism that gives us new life in Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and life everlasting. Amen
Bidding prayers
P: We pray for those we love and those who love us.
Response: Hear our prayer, O Lord.
We pray for those who do not love us and for those who are hard to love.
R: Hear our prayer, O Lord.
Finally, we pray for those so crippled they have lost their ability to love.
R: Hear our prayer, O Lord.
Please share your concerns and intentions.
One day, may we all rejoice together united in your love. As a fore-sign of this, let us now exchange a sign of peace.
Father, you have sent us the sun and the rain to make our fields fertile and our vineyards fruitful. All that we have comes from you. And so, we offer you yours, of your own, this bread and wine made by our hands from the produce of the fertile earth. Receive these gifts along with ourselves and our lives. We add water to this wine. Each remains itself, yet they move together as one. Blessed be God forever. Blessed are you, God, that you make us worthy to stand before you and serve you. In our bodies and minds, we bring all the elements of the cosmos to give you glory. We pray that you will accept these gifts, our sacrifice for your praise and the good of all creation.
Let us lift up our hearts.
R: We lift them up in joy.
Let us give thanks to the Lord.
R: It is fitting and just.
Priest: Father, We give you thanks and praise that, in the face of your incarnate Son, you showed us your face. Thus, you revealed to us your nature, which is love. At the same time, in his humanity, you showed us the beauty of our creaturehood, which is sustained by your love. And so, empowered by this revelation, let us, together with all creation, elemental, animal, human and angelic, come together in praise and rejoicing, crying out with the voices proper to each:
All: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Priest: Father, you sent your Word, born on your breath, to proclaim the cosmos. You sent your spirit to overshadow Mary to incarnate your Word, so he might dwell among us. We ask you now to send this same spirit upon these gifts to make them holy, that they might become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who, on the night before he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread and gave it to his friends, saying,
”Take this, all of you, and eat it. This is my body, which will be given up for you."
When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave you thanks and praise. He gave the cup to his friends, and said,
"Take and drink, all of you. This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant. It is shed for you and for all that sins may be forgiven."
Priest: Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:
All: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Priest: As we celebrate these holy mysteries, may we and all for whom we pray be open to the glory of your presence, the beauty of your song, and the healing power of your love. If Jesus is bread, let us also become bread. Let us be transubstantiated into his nurturing, healing and strengthening presence wherever we may be. Father, remember all who take part in this offering. We commend to your loving mercy Joe our late founding bishop, our bishops Cait and Katherine, our clergy, those in formation, and all those 5 who seek with us a home or a shelter. We stand here in comfort and joy with all our loved ones who are with us separated by the veil. We stand in awe at the angelic presences always here at our celebrations. We welcome all beings alive in God’s presence, past, present, and future, whom we cannot even imagine, but with whom we hope one day to rejoice in his kingdom.
Through him with him and in him, o God, almighty Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honor and glory is yours forever and ever.
Now let us pray as Jesus has taught us:
All: Esence Our Father…
P: Deliver us from all evil, and give us peace in our day. In your mercy, keep us free from sin, and keep us from all anxiety, as we await in joyful hope, the coming of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory now and forever. Amen.
P: Lamb of God,come to us in our dark world,
R: Fill us with your light.
P: Lamb of God,come to us to us in our cold world,
R: Fill us with the fire of your love.
P: Lamb of God come into our violent world,
R: Fill us with your peace.
P: We break this bread and mingle it in the cup that this mingling of the body and blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ might bring eternal life to us who receive it.
Father, you sent your Word, incarnate in human flesh, to be our brother. He gives himself to us in the forms of bread and wine, that he might become incarnate in our bodies. We pray that in consuming these elements, we may both see Christ and be Christ to one another and all creation.
Receive the body of Christ.
Receive the blood of Christ.
( Brief silent thanksgiving)
Lord Jesus Christ, as we have received your body, blood, soul, and divinity, so have you received and assimilated our bodies, blood, and souls into your divinity. Now, with you, we join the cosmic dance with the life-creating Trinity. Let us celebrate in joy the glory you share with us.
Deacon/Acolyte: Let us depart to share this glory and joy throughout all creation. Our liturgy is complete.
R: Thanks be to God.
